Case Study: Econext
Objective
Econext, Newfoundland and Labrador’s clean growth industry association, engaged Pedal & Shift across three education and workforce development projects. The aim was to build awareness and understanding of the province’s emerging clean energy opportunities among its business and professional audience.
Approach
For the Fundamentals of Wind-Hydrogen in Newfoundland and Labrador course, Pedal & Shift researched, designed, and delivered a full-day program covering the technical, economic, and policy dimensions of the global wind-hydrogen sector, with a focus on the province’s competitive advantages.
For Green Economy 101, we reviewed eight course modules for content accuracy, depth, and audience fit, and researched and wrote an additional module on renewable energy opportunities for businesses.
We are currently collaborating with Angler Solutions on a discussion paper and workshop on fuel blending and its opportunities for Newfoundland and Labrador.
Outcomes
- Researched, designed, and delivered a full-day wind-hydrogen course, translating a complex emerging industry into accessible, business-oriented content.
- Strengthened Green Economy 101 through expert module review and an original module on renewable energy opportunities.
- Established a repeat engagement relationship spanning three projects across renewable energy, decarbonization, and clean growth education.
